# Why are one of my products no longer showing in my reference field?

If you are suddenly experiencing that one or more of your products is missing from your reference field value, it is likely because their handle in your store has recently been changed.

The underlying metafield value of product reference fields is the selected object's handles. Therefore, when the referenced handles are changed it creates a mismatch between the stored value and the actual value in your store, which ACF is unable to see.

If a mismatch is detected, you will see the following message in the editor:

![](/files/IGYvJmtgAhxOpWYmddki)

To remedy this, simply reselect the products in the reference field and click "Save", then ACF will update the stored handle to the new one.

Alternatively, you can also manually update the handle via the [Import custom field values](/bulk-import-and-export/import-custom-field-values.md)functionality.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.accentuate.io/help/faq/why-are-one-of-my-products-no-longer-showing-in-my-reference-field.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
