How to Add SEO Keywords to Your Theme

Adding SEO keywords to your Shopify theme is a simple process. Follow these steps:

  1. Open your Shopify theme editor.

  2. Select the section where you'd like to add the SEO keywords.

  3. Click on Add Block and choose the SEO Keywords extension.

Importance of Keywords

The content of your keywords plays a crucial role in your product’s search visibility. Using the correct keywords can, either, increase or limit your product's visibility in search engines.

Fortunately, Shopify has introduced Product Categories with built-in, relevant keywords. If you already have Category Metafields set up for your products, this integration becomes seamless.

Dynamic Sources

Our theme extension also works with other dynamic sources, allowing you to hold your keywords in multiple fields for greater reusability.

Here’s an example of the Category Metafields set up on one of our products:

Using Dynamic Sources in the Theme Extension

To use a dynamic source:

  1. In the theme editor, locate the Source Field.

  2. Click the Dynamic Source Icon next to the field.

  3. Select the metafield you want to use.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can easily integrate SEO keywords into your Shopify store. Improve your search engine rankings and your store's visibility to potential customers. If you have any questions or need further assistance, refer to our support documentation or contact our support team.
